Urban Trails

Campbell Grading Inc. was selected to design and construct 3,500 linear feet by 6 feet wide outdoor accessible trail in the Presidio. The Park Trail acts as the main north-south pedestrian way through the middle of the Presidio. The trail runs from the Mountain Lake trail on Washington (near the golf course), semi-parallels Park Boulevard, crosses Lincoln Boulevard, and continues down to intersect the Promenade Trail (west of McDowell).

Mt. Tamalpais, just minutes north of San Francisco, provides excellent hiking opportunities and an easy escape from the city. Campbell Grading Inc. decommissioned an old fire road that went down the fall line of the ridge. The road was massively eroded, with four-foot deep gullies at points, and sediment was freely flowing into the Pacific Ocean.

The Lands End trail and restoration project focused on constructing a new outdoor accessible trail system that would provide visitors with the unique experience of being able to arrive just above the Sutro Baths then follow the accessible trail out to Mile Rock Overlook.

Campbell Grading Inc. was hired to design and construct a pedestrian trail called the Batteries to Bluffs trail in San Francisco.

Campbell Grading, Inc. returned to Mori Point in the summer of 2009 to construct an elevated boardwalk, as well as to improve the habitat for the threatened red-legged frog and endangered San Francisco garter snake.
