Boardwalk

The El Polin boardwalk is completed. The boardwalk runs 130' in length and is 12' wide. It spans the base of the hillside where there is the most spring activity. This boardwalk allows water to flow uninterrupted, while visitors can travel above this wetland with the use of this boardwalk.

Caleb and Jesus fill the hand-dug piers for the boardwalk with concrete. The boardwalk will connect the box steps (see below) coming up from Wymann Ave to the Merchant Marine Cemetary Vista, which overlooks the newly constructed sand dunes near Battery Caulfield Road. The piers minimize impact on the adjacent tree roots.
