For the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy
Mori Point National Park, Pacifica, CA
Completed: 2009
Campbell Grading, Inc. returned to Mori Point in the summer of 2009 to construct an elevated boardwalk, as well as to improve the habitat for the threatened red-legged frog and endangered San Francisco garter snake.
Mori Point, the location of an old concrete plant, has been rehabilitated by the National Parks. Campbell Grading, Inc. excavated the old road, ripped and recontoured a berm that was negatively affecting the water flow, and constructed an outdoor accessible walkway (521’ length X 14’ width). The boardwalk stands on drilled piers, so as to have a minimal impact on the ecology and provide a beautiful, family and environmentally friendly access to the ocean.
